Rob Torgerson is the founder and president of Kestrel Innovative Fibers (KIF), a company producing fibers from recycled plastics that are harvested from the ocean or ocean bound and fibers from bio-based polymers. KIF creates a sustainable line of fibers that are for the environmental conscious customer.

Rob spent 35 years in implantable medical textile devices working on innovative devices. He was co-founder of RxFiber, producing next generation medical grade fibers. He spent a majority of his career improving and saving patients’ lives, he now wants to help the ocean and the environment.
